About BMI Calculator

I built this for accuracy, privacy, and clarity. A body mass index tool should educate, not just spit out a number.

Privacy-first
All calculations run in your browser. No health data is sent to any server.
Clinically sourced
Formulas follow WHO, CDC, and NIH guidelines for BMI and metabolic estimates.
Transparent sourcing
I link to primary sources throughout the site so you can verify my work yourself.

I'm Junaid Farooq. Most calculators online give you one number and leave you guessing about what it actually means. This one shows your category, basal metabolic rate, ideal weight range, and an estimated body fat percentage, with context about what the numbers do and do not tell you.

I am not a medical professional, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. What I do is pull every formula and threshold directly from primary sources: the WHO's adult BMI categories, the CDC's pediatric growth percentiles, the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for basal metabolic rate, and the Deurenberg formula for body fat estimation. I link to those sources throughout the site so you can check my work yourself.

Every calculation runs in your browser. No health data is sent to any server, ever.
